SaaS (Software as a Service)

SaaS provides a unique proposition for Comment's customers. SaaS is a model of software deployment that enables providers to licence an application for customers to use as a service on demand. Using this model, Comment owns and manages the business risk of developing and maintaining stable software so that its customers are then free to focus on what they do best.

SaaS delivers many benefits to Comment's customers, including:

  • No capital expenditure. Customers need not invest in hardware or software and use Comment's platform through web-based delivery.
  • Variable cost. Costs relate solely to use.
  • Scalability. Customers do not need to guess how much capacity they need or which technologies to use.
  • Faster launch. Customers can take advantage of rapid deployment and benefit from emerging trends much faster than if they were building the solution themselves.
  • Fewer IT personnel. The use of a SaaS provider often means that the cost of a site build and its annual operations can be less than the cost of one single internal resource.

Comment's SaaS delivery model is a far more efficient and cost-effective approach for customers than trying to build a robust and functionally social media environment from scratch.
